One Coat Bond SL is a fifth-generation, total-etch adhesive designed for bonding to both dentin and enamel. It uses a water-based formula that ensures effective moisture interaction, allowing it to penetrate deeply into dentinal tubules for a uniform and strong resin bond layer.
Key Features:
Reliable Bond Strength on Dentin and Enamel: Its hydrophilic (water-attracting) properties enable it to thoroughly wet the tooth surface, allowing for deep infiltration into collagen fibers and tubules. This results in strong, lasting adhesion.
Solvent-Free, Consistent Application: Unlike adhesives that use acetone or alcohol, One Coat Bond SL doesn’t rely on added solvents. This ensures each drop has the same reliable composition, reducing postoperative sensitivity and giving a stable bond layer every time.

Preparation and Surface Conditioning
Apply an etching gel (such as Coltène ETCHANT GEL S with 35% phosphoric acid) directly from the syringe to all enamel and dentin areas that will be bonded. Spread it evenly using a disposable brush. Let it sit for 15 seconds, then rinse thoroughly for 20 seconds. Make sure no blue gel remains on the tooth surfaces. Gently remove extra water using a cotton pellet or a quick air spray, but avoid completely drying the surface — over-drying can damage the collagen layer and weaken the bond.
Applying the Bonding Agent
Place one drop of One Coat Bond SL on a disposable brush and gently rub it into the tooth surface for 20 seconds. Lightly dry the area with air, then cure it with light for 30 seconds.
Finalizing the Procedure
Proceed with the final restoration steps as recommended by the product manufacturer.
