Shofu Porcelain Adjustment Kit has specially selected assortment of white stones and porcelain polishers for chair-side adjustment and glaze like polishing of porcelain restorations prior to placement. This set is indispensable in the dental laboratory for very fine adjustments of porcelain restorations and subsequent high-gloss polishing. It helps to eliminate the tedious re-firing process. It saves time by avoiding the restoration being sent to the Lab for re-glazing, which may affect the Porcelain colour or metal framework of the restoration. It also prevents the inconvenience of a recall appointment for the patient.

It contains all the important instruments, for :-

  • Adjustments: Dura-White
  • Prepolishing: Ceramisté Standard
  • Polishing: Ceramisté Ultra (yellow band)
  • High gloss: Ceramisté Ultra II (white band)

Recommended average speed:

  • Ceramiste points- Speed of 10,000 – 12,000 rpm
  • Dura White stones- Speed of 5, 000 – 20,000 rpm

Prepare the restoration: The porcelain restoration should be cleaned and prepared for adjustment and polishing. The restoration should be free of debris and any rough spots should be marked for adjustment.

Select the appropriate instrument: The Shofu Porcelain Adjustment Kit includes a selection of white stones and porcelain polishers. Select the appropriate instrument for the specific area that needs adjustment or polishing.

Adjust the restoration: Use the white stones to carefully adjust the porcelain restoration, removing any rough spots or high areas. Take care not to remove too much material, as this may weaken the restoration.

Polish the restoration: Use the porcelain polishers to achieve a glaze-like finish on the restoration. The polishers are designed to smooth and shine the porcelain without removing too much material.

Check the restoration: After adjustment and polishing, carefully examine the restoration to ensure that it fits properly and looks natural in the patient's mouth.
