  • Apply the bite registration material directly onto the chewing surfaces of the lower teeth and gently guide the lower jaw into its natural bite position (centric occlusion).
  • Before taking it out, always check inside the mouth to make sure the material has completely hardened.
  • Keep in mind that heat makes the material set faster, while cold slows it down.
  • After taking impressions, check the models for any raised bubbles caused by air gaps.
  • Remove any such bubbles before using the bite registration to avoid improper fitting.
  • Once the material has hardened and is removed from the mouth, trim away any parts that touch the gums using a sharp knife. This helps avoid undercuts.
  • Proper trimming ensures the models won’t spring back or shift when placed together and allows you to visually confirm a correct fit.
  • The material can be used with either the “closed mouth” or “pre-bite” method.
  • Always guide the patient into the correct bite (centric position) before applying the JET BITE material.
