  • Offers excellent reproduction accuracy with both Putty and Light Body consistencies
  • Has pseudo-plastic behavior, allowing for greater precision—something alginates don't provide
  • Delivers higher tear resistance compared to other VPS materials
  • Maintains its shape well over time, so you can pour multiple models even after two weeks
  • Flows well in moist conditions due to its good hydrophilicity
  • Works perfectly with gypsum-based products
  • Provides superior wetting, resulting in a smooth and firm working cast
  • Can be cold sterilized without losing detail accuracy or dimensional stability

FLEXCEED – Vinyl Polysiloxane (VPS) Impression Material

FLEXCEED stands out for its excellent ability to capture fine detail, even in moist environments. Thanks to its low contact angle, it effectively displaces moisture and flows into subgingival areas, instead of being repelled toward the soft tissues. This results in highly accurate impressions.

With high initial hydrophilicity and optimal viscosity, FLEXCEED easily flows into subgingival spaces, allowing for precise detail capture. The flow characteristics of FLEXCEED Putty-Wash surpass most other brands on the market.

FLEXCEED Light Body is particularly hydrophilic.
The initial contact angle of a water droplet helps assess a material’s ability to wet the surface — FLEXCEED Light Body demonstrates excellent wettability, ensuring better surface contact for more accurate impressions.

FLEXCEED also offers superior tear strength, which is essential when taking impressions in delicate areas like the subgingival or interproximal regions. These areas can be extremely thin and prone to tearing upon removal, but FLEXCEED has been shown to have the highest tear resistance among VPS materials, maintaining impression integrity every time.

GC Flexceed Putty + Light Body Kit:
[PUTTY TYPE]
1 x (500g) 278ml Base
1 x (500g) 278ml Catalyst

[LIGHT BODY]
2 x 78gm (50mL) Cartridge
8 Mixing tips
8 Intra oral tips

I. Single-Step Putty-Wash Technique

  • Step 1: Take equal amounts of FLEXCEED base and catalyst using the provided measuring scoops.
  • Step 2: Mix both components thoroughly by hand until the mixture turns a uniform blue color.
  • Step 3: Load the mixed FLEXCEED putty into the impression tray.
  • Step 4: Dispense FLEXCEED Light Body directly onto the putty using a mixing tip. Keep the nozzle submerged in the material to avoid trapping air bubbles.
  • Step 5: Use intraoral tips to apply FLEXCEED Light Body directly around the prepared tooth for accurate margin capture.
  • Step 6: Place the tray in the patient’s mouth. Allow the material to set.
  • Step 7: The final impression is easy to read thanks to FLEXCEED’s contrasting colors, enhancing visibility of detail.

II. Complete Denture Impression

  • Step 1: Apply GC tray adhesive to the custom tray.
  • Step 2: Perform border molding using FLEXCEED putty for precise peripheral capture.
  • Step 3: Load FLEXCEED Light Body onto the tray for fine detail reproduction.
  • Step 4: Make the final upper arch impression.

III. Double-Step Putty-Wash Technique

  • Step 1: Prepare the tooth for the crown.
  • Step 2: Apply GC tray adhesive to the stock tray and load it with FLEXCEED putty.
  • Step 3: Take the initial putty impression.
  • Step 4: Once set, use a putty cutter to create uniform space within the impression for the wash material.
  • Step 5: Inject FLEXCEED Light Body around the prepared tooth and immediately reseat the putty impression tray.
  • Step 6: Allow the material to set. The result is a highly detailed final impression.

IV. Dual Arch Impression Technique

  • Step 1: Load FLEXCEED putty into a dual arch tray.
  • Step 2: Apply FLEXCEED Light Body over the putty and take the impression immediately to capture both arches and the bite in a single step.
