  • Beautifil II composites are designed to release fluoride over time, with the added benefit of being able to recharge fluoride, helping to reduce plaque build-up.

  • They offer long-lasting color stability and are highly resistant to wear. Their ability to transmit and reflect light closely mimics that of natural teeth, and they are highly visible on X-rays due to their excellent radiopacity.

  • These composites are strong and durable, providing reliable performance over time. They are easy to handle thanks to the convenient one-touch cap system, making application smooth and efficient.

  • They are suitable for various types of restorations, such as cosmetic corrections, repairing cavities from Class I to V, treating cervical erosion and root decay, fixing chipped incisal edges, laminate veneers, and core build-ups.

  • The kit includes essential shades (A1, A2, A3, B2) that cover the majority of common tooth colors needed for treatment.

  • Beautibond bonding system simplifies the process with a quick, single-step application that takes just 30 seconds, saving valuable chairside time.

  • Its HEMA-free formula helps prevent sensitivity after the procedure and reduces the risk of gum irritation.

  • The bonding system uses dual adhesive monomers for a strong, lasting bond to both enamel and dentin.

  • It also forms a very thin, bubble-free adhesive layer (just 5 microns thick), allowing the composite to adapt smoothly and precisely to the tooth surface.

Shofu Beautifil II is an advanced, light-cured dental material designed for direct aesthetic restorations. It represents the second generation of Giomer technology, which combines the benefits of fluoride release with excellent aesthetics. This material is made using S-PRG (Surface Pre-Reacted Glass) fillers, which help achieve natural-looking results through superior shade matching, easy handling, and reliable strength and durability.

The Basic Kit also includes Beautibond, a convenient single-bottle bonding agent with self-etching properties. It uses a unique dual adhesive monomer technology to ensure strong and long-lasting adhesion.

The filler technology in Beautifil II is specially designed to mimic the natural tooth’s internal structure, offering ideal light reflection and optical properties. Additionally, once placed in the mouth, the restored tooth’s surface develops a protective layer through contact with saliva. This layer is known to help reduce plaque build-up and limit bacterial growth.

  1. Cleaning the Tooth
First, thoroughly clean the tooth surface to get rid of any plaque or dirt.

  2. Selecting the Shade
Choose the right shade for the filling while the tooth is still wet, using a shade guide.

  3. Cavity Preparation
Prepare the cavity as per standard dental procedures.

  4. Isolation
Use a rubber dam to keep the area dry and properly isolated.

  5. Protecting the Pulp
If the pulp is exposed or very close to the cavity, apply a protective layer of calcium hydroxide over it.

  6. Conditioning and Applying Adhesive
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to apply the dentin adhesive properly.

  7. Placing the Material
Squeeze out the right amount of BEAUTIFIL II onto a mixing pad. Use a dental instrument to place the material into the cavity and shape it as needed.

  8. Light Curing
Cure the material using a dental curing light. If using a halogen light, cure for about 20 seconds; if using an LED light, 10 seconds is usually enough.

  9. Finishing and Polishing
After curing, shape, smooth, and polish the restoration using standard finishing techniques.
